Your website isn’t non-perishable. If you don’t update it regularly, you could lose out. For search engines, static equals stagnant. Search engines don’t want stagnancy. If there hasn’t been an update in a while and Seo has been ignored, it becomes clear to search engines that the content is old and outdated and if someone else is fresher and more current, you could lose your footing and you could even be de-indexed altogether.
I am no search engine optimisation expert, but I do know that content drives traffic. You do need to know how to write well enough. Do not rely upon paid writing services. C grade article writing does not win you traffic.
This recession has hit a lot of people really hard and placed people in financial situations they never could have prepared for or predicted. A lot of people are in some stressful financial situations and their mortgage is #1 on the list.
Careful planning. Just like any other endeavor, you need to carefully plan your content marketing campaign before you even think about launching it. What exact strategies are you going to use? Are you going to sink your teeth into article marketing, blogging, and/or ezine publishing? How much information do you plan to share to your target audience? How frequent are you going to update your blog and web content? How much time are you going to spend per strategy? How would you know if everything you’re doing is effective? Are you going to hire ghost writers or are you going to do it all by yourself? The more questions you ask, the more prepare you’ll become and the lesser your chances of failing in this endeavor.
Always ensure that you use objective language when writing for the web. This is important as it helps build credibility. Avoid promotional and exaggerated terms which only help to add to the amount of editorial work that has to be done at the end of the day. Always remember to highlight your text as this helps make words easy to read. Bold or colored text can help achieve this. It is better to use one idea per paragraph instead of cramming many ideas in one when writing for the web. This will help make your paragraphs legible and easy to read. Not every reader can withstand being taken through a paragraph that does not seem to have an ending.
Facebook Groups: If you don’t have a Facebook account, you should get one now. It’s a great place to meet other people in your niche. They may also be interested in your content! You can join multiple groups in your niche, (e.g. network marketing groups) and post your content on the wall so multiple people in that group can view it.
Most important get your target keywords right. We will not discuss keywords and key phrases and your target market here. We start assuming that you have your target keywords and target niche market clearly defined.
Investigate affiliate programs where you can be paid a percentage of sales made from your web site. If you plan to launch a web site to earn income, learn about all the aspects of getting the results you need. The main consideration in launching a web site is getting people to visit it. You can have the greatest product and the best designed site, but if nobody visits, then you do not get the sales you want.
